in my room
as we lay
naked
under
the sun

the moon.
just like
his music
and
our favorite
tune
his time
on
this planet
ended
too soon.

it's my day to die.

to arrive.

In the middle
of a midlife crisis,
growing hair
like a BEATLE, again,
I can't stop
thinking about it,
what should
be
and
what could
have been.
I can't believe
all the time
that we
wasted,
and
all the beauty
that I
still
haven't seen.
Was
peace and love,
a 'silly'
Hippie
fantasy,
Or a
early sixties/late seventies
dream?

gray horse of our ignorance,
horse of interruption.
horse of darkness,
horse of light,
horse of
the day,
horse of
the night.
horse of
the left,
horse of
the right,
this one's black,
that one's white.
horse of inspiration,
horse of every nation,
horse of feeling,
horse of
love,
horse of
our duration.
can you tell us
what our love's
made of?
is
this
our creation?
unless,
of course,
the horse
isn't
a horse,
at all.
being over
half-a-century,
i simply
can't recall.

All of your comments, your high ratings, and your encouraging letters have inspired me to do more of these types of pages. If I didn't have to work OT - I probably could have done 10 poems, today - as my Birthday gift to all of you - but for this year - these 5 will have to do. I hope that you enjoy them. This time everything BUT The Photo of my favorite Beatle 'George' was done by me.
I wish that he was still with us, and I miss him. ALL THINGS MUST PASS, but his beautiful songs and his holy spirit never will. efhjr.
