PopPhoto Magazine - Dec 2007

In August 2007, I was contacted by Lori Fredrickson, an editor of Popular Photography magazine because she ran across some of the photos I posted online in a photography community forum. She made very nice comments about my photos, and after a couple of e-mails, she asked whether I was interested in interviews for a story about my first year photographing, and the use of some of my images for the magazine. They found very interesting I was making my photos within just one year of picking up my first Digital SLR. OK, now you know my answer, the story has been published in the December 2007 issue of Popular Photography.  I knew it was going to be published, but I did not know much details about the article, and the extend of it. It was a great surprise when I started to receive acknowledgement about the article from people who had read it (people I have not even met before), and specially I was overwhelmed by how motivating they have found the article. Also, as one of my instructors (Chris Hurtt from the on-location workshop that somehow started this whole path, along with Robert La Follette) says it, I made the FREAKING cover!!!

I'm posting here the 6 images that were showcased in the article along with the PDF of the whole article. The blank pages/space in the PDF are allocated for advertisement in the magazine. I hope you enjoy it!!!
