Children who are successfully placed at school before starting at Ebonycare are encouraged to remain there, distance allowing. Emphasis is placed on maintaining good relationships with local schools. For children who are not in education particularly following suspension or exclusion, alternative day schools are sought and in the interim qualified tutors from private teaching organisations offer home tuition.

Tutors are experienced in working with children with extra learning needs and challenging behaviour. Tutors with a background in drama are also on offer, with innovative techniques to encourage the most reluctant child to engage in learning.

Apple Macintosh computers have been introduced in all Ebonycare units as part of the education and training programme.
