Geisinger Humdinger course photo gallery
Look at the slides in order or push the "slideshow" button and you can experience some of the course features as you would see them during the race.

Pine Barn Inn is our host. They offer rooms, breakfast and more!
We will provide light food, beverages and registration in the bar area.
The staging area for the race is this parking lot. It will be marked race day.
Racers run 1/4 mile down Bloom Road to lovely Memorial park.
From Memorial park we turn onto Upper Mulberry street
Mulberry street climbes upwards to Middle Street.
Middle street climbes to Resevoir Street. Look for water tanks.
The trail starts behind the water tanks, and look, it is still climbing!
You will soon see the Sidler Hill cemetary...spooky!
Sidler Hill is an abandoned Welsh cemetary the middle of the woods.
Most sites belong to children, killed mine workers or the occasional old person.
After climbing approx. 800' to this point, you may want a plot for yourself!
Sidler hill trail takes you to an old washed-out logging road.
The logging road yields to a mossy, rocky, single track trail.
This trail continues to climb on some sketchy terrain.
Racer will experience a utility line clearing and some grassy trails.
The utility line trail climbs to the next section of single track.
Still going uphill, but at less of an incline. Catch your breath!
Some nice sections of trail traverse the hill. Mostly rolling hills.
I realize the bike is cheating, but I wanted to show some scale.
Next section is a trail we call "Fun City". It is a climb to a fun downhill.
"Fun City" leads to "Widow maker". Do I need to say more? Then a long downhill
At the bottom of the downhill, we cross a bridge and then head back up.
After the bridge, the trail goes upward as shown on the left of this photo.
This trail is 6+ miles into the run. It climbs about 500' in less than 1/4 mile
It is a calve burner that will be even more interesting if we have snow and mud.
Notice the angle that the trees are growing out of the ground.
This is the last "nastiness" at the top of the hill. From here, 3/4 mile back.
At the end, celebrate your accomplishment and tell war stories at Pine Barn.
