After about 11 years of saying I was going to get me one , I finally bought a Home Theater Popcorn Popper for my Christmas present .
This is the first batch I popped after setting it up tonight .
I bought a case of pre-packaged 4-oz. popcorn and oil packets for the ease of use , and they worked out well.
After reading the instructions it said " Let pan heat up 4 minutes , then add oil , then put in 3 kernels to test the oil temp ."
I had the pan lid up ,and the main door open , and 1 kernel popped and flew out the opening , and my Bull Terrier was on it so fast it didn't even know what ate it
.
Then I added the rest of the Kernels and it got to popping and she went nuts barking at the Popper , after shutting the lid and door .
Boy did it make the house smell good , nothing like the smell of fresh popped theater popcorn .
Then after I ate my fill , my dog sat guarding the machine for 30 minutes , then pitifully came and laid her head on my lap and begged for another taste , which I got up and gave her a couple for being such a good guard dog , making sure no more popcorn flew out the door !
Sure ought to make watching movies in the Theater room much more enjoyable .
I am going to buy the popcorn boxes just like the movies too , and the wife is going to buy me the cart to set the popper on , as we didnt have nothing to really set it up on .
