Pier lawn.

The club's two launches ("ferries" to the bootless and unhorsed) land here in good weather. A nice spot to contemplate the harbour, the clubhouse and the vista of the city.

Clubhouse and channel.

The north extension of the clubhouse, also showing the club's war memorial and the channel leading from the lagoons to the city harbour.

Towser in the trees.

Taken just after layup, this shows several boats on the hard near the east end of the south lagoon. Towser is the blue C&C 27.

South lagoon from South Island.

The south lagoon is the quieter of the two, favoured by the cruising contingent. At the west end is a small Anglican church; farther on, an amusement park.

The drysail area and front channel.

Drysail for J/24's, Sharks and Dragons lies at the western end of the north lagoon. The sailing office and rain dock lie immediately north.

Docks west of the travellift well.

The north lagoon is mostly empty in this November panorama except for the several boats in front of the mast dock that are being unrigged.

Marine yard.

By November, most boats are out of the water and many are covered for winter. Traditionally, boatyards are messy places, but the club has expended a great effort to build a "greener" marine yard.
