 We're doing this run at Kalama Park in Kihei. Basically they hired the A-Team as far as Hawaiian Freelancers go - Audio, Video, & Lighting. They even got the Staging and Rigging A-Teams. Everything is great - looks great, sounds great...
The four bands are all solid and tight. This is a really good show. One more night (tonight), and strike tomorrow...
The show was just a little different tonight than the lastnight. The lastnight, we started off at 16:00, with the first band kicking off at 16:30. Seven Simple Pieces was first, Olivia second, Telecast third, after the message Seven Simple Pieces got back up for another set (we had to fill cause we were so far ahead of time), and Kutless was the headline.
Tonight, Olivia (reluctantly) opened, Telecast was second, Seven Simple Pieces was third, after the message Olivia did 10 minutes, and Kutless closed...
They started an hour later tonight than they had the lastnight - mostly due to the fact that they gave me and Mike too much time between bands. They gave us 15 minutes for the turn-around and the longest it took us was 2 - that's why we were so far ahead of schedule the lastnight. The thing that takes the longest time is the monitor mix - he has to reconfigure the monitor board for each band, and that can take an easy 4/5 minutes (unless you have a digital board)... |
