Cool, but long show. We started out at YB first thing Thursday morning, got to the GW and SU everything. The guys from the band showed up around 14:00 and did their thing. I got out of there at 18:00, but had to be back at 22:30 for the strike. We basically struck everything but bandgear and were done by 01:30. John G and I had to be at YB when they first opened in the morning (07:30), fill a 20ft container and meet Pat L and Lele at the GW to complete the strike...
So when all is said and done - we started 07:30 Thursday morning and ended at 12:00 noon Friday...
I'm seeing a lot more Macs on show site nowadays. Everyone backstage had a Mac: the producers (3), video guys (2), Pat L, and all the band guys (3). It's cool that it's been catching on lately.
The funny thing is that I see "so-and-so" with one like 6 months after seeing him with a windows machine and I hear them talking to someone else about how they've been Mac for years and all that. This has happened the last four/five shows actually...
It's funny cause I was the guy who talked "him" into it the last time he was on island. I would show him this or that - he would say that he needed windows for this or that and I would show him that he didn't (and that would sell him right then and there). It really doesn't matter - it's just nice to see people with Mac's... |
