Another great day working with Rhema! Man what a week! I had to strike the show I was doing on Tuesday night on Wednesday morning. The show was suppose to end at 22:00, but ran till 23:30, I I had to be back first thing in the morning to strike it. We got done farely early, so I had to hang out in Kihei till my call time at the Four seasons (I live about 45 minutes away from Kihei, so it didn't make sense to come home)...
Rhema just got a Digico board - a totally digital audio board. Anyway, there's nothing to the setup of this thing. You put it where you want it and run three lines to it (4 with A/C). So Pat was able to help me setup the stage, which made it go twice as fast. We were able to completely ring out the room, tweak the monitors, and take an hour break before sound check...
Henry's guys showed up on time and we got it done...
Got a compliment from his guys though - it's nice to get those on occassion. I don't really enjoy shows anymore, and it's mostly cause of the people on stage. After getting to know a lot of them, you either get jaded or start becoming like them. I got jaded. But it's nice to work with a band like Henry's - all good guys, all good musician's, and, from what I know of them, good people in general... |
