So, Saturday night we did the Festival. The usual, right? Well...no.
These guys were good. They called themselves the Hawaiian International Jazz Festival All-Stars, and they actually were. The highlight was Gabe Balthezar playing Santana's "Europa" on sax - and going from there into a "dualing saxes" routing with his nephew (who is probably going to be as famous as his uncle one day)...
Anyway, these guys were awesome...
By the way, Pat and Mark, if you're reading this, I finally know the true meaning of Rhema - good call on that one, I like it a lot... |
