Two pretty cool programs that I've been playing with lately are NoteCoder and EarTraining...
Anyway, NoteCoder helps you to transcribe chords. Very cool little utility...
Eartraining is a very cool program that everone should have - it's kinda overwhelming at first, but as time goes on you kinda work yourself into a groove. I really have no idea where I found this freeware - If you want it just email me and I'll send it to you.
There's nothing like playing with other people though. I find the best way to train my ear is just to play with other people who play as many different instruments as possible... |
