What is a Christian? Liberals go away!

I live in the most liberal place in America - daily, I find myself insulted (whether intentional or not) by the empty assault of some uneducated mouth. I also find myself embarrassed to be thought of as "one of those Christians"...

By definition a Christian is one who believes 100% that (1) Jesus was born of a virgin, (2) he is the son of God (God with us), (3) he had a sinless life, (4) he sacrificed himself for our sins, and (5) he rose from the dead. If you do not believe in all of the above 100%, then you are not a Christian. The only way to heaven is through Jesus - you must believe...
Belief in this "saving grace", knowing you cannot do it yourself, and asking Jesus into your heart to help you , is all that is required.
Now, you will always hear people say that they are Christian - yet the life they lead presents nothing but questions to you. First off, don't judge them. That's not our job (God is the only judge of consequence) - He knows who the hypocrites are (and He will deal with them). Secondly, none of us are perfect. As we grow in our faith it becomes easier to overcome our wordly desires, but it takes a lot of prayer just to begin. Getting there isn't a free ride - we are all born with wordly desires - it's a daily struggle. But it does get easier as we grow in our faith...
Example: I was born with an overwhelming urge to hurt people; and, worse, God gave me the physical and mental gifts to be good at it. He then surrounded me with those like me - we were trained, and encouraged, to use our God-given gifts.
It is something I use to struggle with every second of every day; with Gods help, its been years since I've raised an offensive hand to anyone. Know what I found? The closer I get to God, the better I become as a person. People around me notice it (and comment about it frequently), both Christian and non-Christian. I am a changed person - anyone who knew me from the age of 10 to 30 could see the difference within five minutes...

Funny, liberals (at least on this island) always feel like their rights are being trampled upon. They're obnoxiously vocal - always saying "something must be done!" At the same time, expecting someone else to do it. If you have a thought that conflicts with their little world, they will run away from you, but you better listen to what they have to say. The saddest thing to watch is a liberal trying to rationalize their beliefs (which led to a choice...which led to a lifestyle...). Tell you what, there's only one reason anyone rationalizes anything - cause they're ashamed of it...

My people say,"I must do something". My people join the military, to liberate the opressed, which, in turn protects the liberty which those who won't fight for it so blatently abuse. I know two liberals in Hawaii who I will go "point-counter-point" with - they are both veterans - they have earned the right to say what they want. Not to mention, they actually know what they're talking about...

This island is getting worse over time. All the old local families were Christian Veterans. All the new people coming to live here are neither - it's sad to see the morality, and pride, of a society disappear before your eyes. The thing really making its mark, to me, is that the most obnoxious liberals around here are not from here...

Kinda a side note, in the form of a question, but:
Why do most "tree huggers" smoke cigarettes and drive old beaters? Perfect example of a liberal! Always saying,"something must be done" instead of "I must do something"...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you don't vote, then you have nothing to say (that I want to hear) about politics. If you never read a Bible, then you have nothing to say (that I want to hear) about religion. If you never fought for liberty, you have nothing to say that I will ever hear (no matter the topic). I will stand right in front of you and look at you, but all I will hear is "Blah blah-blah...blah-blah" - You have the right to say whatever you want, I have the right to ignore you...

The only way to lead is by example guys. And you're not fooling anyone...
