| Al Qaeda: War with Israel is 'jihad' | | Date Created: Jul 27, 2006, 09:03 AM |
Ayman al-Zawahiri, Al Qaeda's No.2 man, was on Al-Jazeera today. Bin Laden always sends this guy to deliver the call for reinforcements when they are losing. Anyway, here are a few things al-Zawahiri said:
"All the world is a battlefield open in front of us...We will attack everywhere."
-> He starts off with the call for WWIII, and then goes on...
"The war with Israel does not depend on cease-fires ... . It is a Jihad for the sake of God and will last until (our) religion prevails ... from Spain to Iraq"
-> Spain was controlled by Arab Muslims until they were driven from the country at the turn of the 16th century. This is what we are talking about! This is the Crusades all over again! For those of you who don't know, "Jihad" isn't just a word you should take lightly. It's hard for the typical American to understand, but, essentially, these people want to kill everyone who does not believe what they believe - plain and simple...
"My fellow Muslims, it is obvious that Arab and Islamic governments are not only impotent but also complicit...and you are alone on the battlefield. Rely on God and fight your enemies...make yourselves martyrs."
-> He's calling on every Muslim to put the law of men aside and die for "their cause".
You can not have a cease fire with a terrorist organization. I understand that many civilians are getting caught in the cross-fire (when you fight someone with no allegiance to country this is going to happen). Calling for a cease fire in Lebanon will stop the Lebanese & Israeli Militia's from fighting, but it will not stop Hezbollah (or Al Qaeda). A cease fire gives them time to regroup, resupply, and attack in force. They do not recognize any government (he actually said this above), so the cease fire means nothing to them. Israel knows this, everyone with a brain (who knows the situation) knows this...
They will not stop until we are all dead, so we must not stop until they are unable to kill us. They, literally, want to kill everyone who does not believe what they do - including other Muslims who do not prescribe to their interpretation of The Koran, and the life style this leads to...
I am 14th Generation American on my Father's side (since 1630), and about the 50th Generation on my Mother's side (Cherokee). My family fought for America before there was a U.S.A. One of us, including myself, has been in every war this Country has fought in. I am as American as you can get...
Having said that, none of that matters - they want to kill you just as much as they want to kill me. No matter your beliefs or lifestyle - if you do not believe what they believe, or live the way they live, they want to kill you. Is this sinking in at all?
This video was incredibly timed. The bad guys really know what they're doing here. The world kept pressuring for a cease fire, and maybe there could have been one, there can be no cease fire now. Israel knows if it stops, it dies; the rest of us know (even if it's just in the back and your mind), if Israel dies we are all next...
At the same time, while everyone is busy with what's going on in, and around, Israel there's a lot to watch elsewhere. Iran & Korea would be first on my list, especially Iran (they're providing troops, weapons and money to Hezbollah, have close ties with Al Qaeda, and want to exterminate Israel and all her friends)...
Aside from all of this, many security analysts say al-Zawahiri's message may be an attempt to keep al Qaeda relevant as the spotlight is trained on Hezbollah. Al Qaeda wants to compete with Hezbollah for the leadership role in the anti-Israel cause, because Sunni groups are starting to express support for Hezbollah.
This means al Qaeda is losing support in the Sunni world. Al-Zawahiri's call for Muslims to join the fight, therefore, should not be seen as an attempt to unite Sunnis and Shiites in the fight against Israel, nor is it a sign that al Qaeda and Hezbollah will become brothers in arms.
"Hezbollah won't permit al Qaeda to do this, and secondly, Hezbollah is as much an enemy to al Qaeda as Israel is," one security analyst said. |
