My sister called my parents about an hour ago to tell them Tiffany was home. She said Tiffany saw the flyers and decided to turn herself in. My sister said Tiffany walked to the Makawao Substation and turned herself in. She thanked us for all we did and then, when my parents asked to hear Tiffany's voice - she hung up...
We had no flyers in Makawao. We would have seen her up here - my parents and/or I would have seen her as we were in and out of the housing tract. Unless she was trying to make it to my parents house, and was caught in route, she wouldn't have come up here. Yet my sister said she turned herself in up here...
We still have not heard her voice - and the PD has not called me or my parents to confirm that they have actually seen her...
Until I get the word from the LT, I'm going to assume she's still missing. You have to understand, my sister is a pathological liar. The family knows this - the cops do not. The thing is, when you call her on it, she completely cuts you off (she's got a major temper and a long memory). Once the kids became old enough to question her (and/or her lifestyle), she decided she didn't want anyone near them, she even pulled them out of school - she's a master at the phrase "if you want someone to believe something you need to surround them in it."
She deals with things in one of two ways, she denies (or simply ignores) the issue, and then (when she can't deny or ignore) she explodes. Basically she thinks everyone is an idiot, and no one knows what she's all about. Once she knows you're on to her (or smarter than she is) she blocks you from making any kind of inquiry about anything to do with her...
Anyhow, when the LT gives the word I'll believe it... |
