There is so much talk about the "Iranian Nuke Program" nowadays, you can't escape the talk. Iran, of course, is saying that they want it for energy - that's great - but consider the source of the statement for a moment. The guys who are saying this are the same who are denying that the Holocaust ever happened during the second World World War. Yeah, we should listen to anything they would say...
Everyone is so afraid of what Iran would do with Nuke capabilities. Does no one realize that they already have them?
Up to 24 hours before we invaded Iraq there were convoys of (big rig) trucks heading to Iran. When all is said and done, Iraq did have what we were looking for (they just had two months warning to get rid of them).
And now everyone is surprised in the "sudden rise" in Iran's Nuke capabilities. Dude, I don't know who it is, but someone thinks we're a bunch of idiots...
Now we are stuck in a pickle - we did not find anything (that we could tell anyone about) because most of it ended up in Iran. The American public is down on the war because we didn't find anything (that we could tell anyone about). So, what do we do about Iran? We drag our heels because our popularity is at rock bottom and no one will back the call...
Hard to believe that this is how the world is run...
Military recruitment hit 13,000 people in March. That was the 10th consecutive month in which recruitment goals were met. And everyone is "re-upping" (staying in)...
We haven't had another terrorist attack since September 11th, 2001. Many have been thwarted, but none succeeded...
The economy is kickin' butt. Anyone who wants a job has one...
There are 50,000,000 people in Iraq and Afghanistan who are free today who were not 5 years ago...
The Dow is at a 6 year high, the S&P is at a 5 year high, the commodities market is smoking (prices on both copper and silver have jumped 50% since the start of the year), retailers across America are having "better than expected" sales...
We do nothing but watch, as Iran gets stronger and stronger...
Tell you what - because a bomb sent from the other side of the world can reach the location of my family and friends, what you do in your country has everything to do with me. Because the security on half of those weapons is a total joke, its fairly easy to get one (all it takes is money), and the bad guys who have the money are being hidden by the leaders of these countries (and being paid well for it) - what you do has everything to do with me. If you present yourself to be a "clear and present danger" to My God, My Family, or My Country - you're going down...
People ask me what I think of President Bush. It's not a matter of like or dislike. He is my President - if you have never worn a uniform for the U.S. then you have no concept of that statement, so I'll just leave it at that...
For those of you who constantly bitch (no matter who is in that chair), the citizens of America voted him there - twice. The last time was pretty decisive - so shut the hell up! He's the leader of our country and we need to pull together right now...
To this point in his presidency, he has done what was right in his own mind. That is all I could ask of anyone in his position. To weigh the needs of, and danger to, the American people with your own beliefs - and to make a decision based on that (instead of "consensus"). Not many of us could do his job for a week, let alone 8 years. I'm willing to bet that, given the same circumstances and information, just about everyone I know would have made the same decisions President Bush made. You can argue all you want, but your thinking small - he has to consider the safety, wants, and needs of 300,000,000 people in all he does . None of us could do it and come away from it "liked"... |
