How to play Dopewars
Introduction
DopeWars is a game where the objective is to get rich through buying and selling drugs. There are 8 types of drugs and 6 locations; at each location, 5 to 7 drugs will be commodities.
At the beginning of the game, you have a small amount of cash, an empty savings account, and a sizeable debt to a loan shark. In addition to money troubles, Officer Hardass patrols the streets, hell-bent on taking you down.
New Game
Start a new game at anytime by pressing apple key + R.
Jet Screen
Select a location to go there. Each new location is a new day, so make the most of each location. The Loan Shark and Bank are located in the Bronx."
Trading
To purchase a single unit of particular drug use the
button. To purchase the maximum amount you can afford use
the 
button.
Sell one unit of a particular drug with the 
button. Sell all your drugs of a particular kind using the
button.
Your cash (white), debt (red), savings (green), and coat pockets are displayed on the top. You have a limited amount of space in your coat, but you may have a chance to buy a bigger coat during the game. Drugs with a price of ---- are not commodities at this location, and therefore cannot be bought or sold. You have 31 days in a game. So keep an eye on what day it is at the top of the widget.
Loan Shark
At the Loan Shark, you can repay debt or borrow money. It is advisable to repay debt as soon as you are able, because the Loan Shark charges 12.5% interest per day. If you aren't able to pay back the Loan Shark by the end of the game, his thugs will most likely break your legs. You start off the game with a $5500 debt to the Loan Shark. The Loan Shark will only loan you an amount equal to thirty times your current cash or $5500, whichever is greater. Additionally, you may only take out one loan a day. The Loan Shark is located in the Bronx.
Bank
At the Bank, you can withdraw or deposit money into a savings account. Money in a savings account accrues 6.25% interest per day. The Bank is located in the Bronx.
Officer Hardass
When you run into the cops, you have two options: Run or Fight. You can only fight if you have a gun. During the game, you may have the opportunity to buy a gun. If you run, it is unlikely that the cops will catch you; but if they do, they will seize all your drugs and half of your cash. If you fight, you have the chance of killing off the cops, and not be bothered for the rest of the game. However, if you fight the cops, it is fairly likely that you will be wounded and caught, and you might even be killed. It's the risk you have to take if you decide to protect your livelihood.
High Scores?
Sadly, the nature of widgets makes high scores very easy to forge. So, Widgets by Durvivor will not be running any sort of High Score list. However, as the developers of Dopewars we do want to let you know what kind of high score you should reach for. Here is a screen shot of Durvivors best score.
