Skin of Our Teeth Finished!

Well, my prolonged silence her on the site was mainly due to the fact that life got very busy soon after I launched it.  My store opened on the 13th, and I've been working near full-time hours since.  (I work as a Specialist at the Willowbrook, NJ Apple Store, by the way.)  Issues entered projection on the 14th, with five of our seven promotional clips being shot.  I am in the midst of editing them now.  Issues also began taping episodes this past Sunday, and will continue to tape on a weekly basis at Comic Relief in Hamilton, NJ.  The Issues website will also soon be getting a major overhaul as our temporary page comes down and an entire cohesive site is put up on it's place.

But the biggest news on the front right now is that I have just wrapped up my work on The Skin of Our Teeth.  I actually finished Act III some time ago, but had been waiting on the images I needed to complete the other two acts.  I received those images this past Sunday evening, and have created Acts I and II as Keynote files (that's like Powerpoint for you PC users out there).  I'm loaning Shakespeare Seventy my MacBook laptop for the duration of the performance since they have no other means of playing the files.  I drop the computer off to them tonight so they have the benefit of full tech. rehearsals with the slideshows and video files in place.  The show runs for the next two weekends at The College Of New Jersey's Kendall Hall Theater.

With the end of this project, I had hoped to be able to open myself up to taking on new projects.  Unfortunately, I have been neglecting my graduate school application fiercely, and need to finish it up before I can consider doing more work.  The time gained from finishing Skin of Our Teeth should be just what I need.  I also officially start training as a Creative (read: personal trainer) at Apple this week.  Things should be getting back to normal now that I have an established schedule for Issues.  Keep checking back for updates!

Thanks for stopping by! - Michelle
