A Passing Afternoon Wrapped

Last night I made the trip up to New York in the freezing cold to meet with CJ Maldonado for some final changes to his short film,  A Passing Afternoon.  We fixed a few of the film's credits, and designed the DVD for the show, including a 22 second lead-in before the menu.  I finished the actual DVDs today and got them in the mail about 10-minutes before FedEx closed for the weekend.  Thank goodness for Saturday deliveries.

The film was shot beautifully and the original cut from the director was beautifully done.  With that in mind, it's not shocking when I say that the DVD came out absolutely wonderfully.  The lead-in features short clips from the film slowed down to create a more ethereal look.  Overall, the hardest part was deciding where to place the title.  Even that wasn't all that difficult.  The end result - CJ now has 6 copies of the DVD and all the project files on his external drive.  It's been a lot of fun working with him, and I'm hoping to be involved in his next film.

Also a result from yesterday, a new way to transition between scenes in Issues was found.  To see it, you'll just have to tune in to Episode 2, which drops on the website, iTunes, YouTube, and the other usual venues on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

So, all in all, it was a good night's work last night.  Orientation for school is on Tuesday, and classes start in 10 days.  Still no book lists on the website.  Does that mean the classes I'm planning to take don't have books?  On the one hand, that would be sweet.  On the other, what would I do on the train the whole way up and back?

Thanks for stopping by! - Michelle
