Boycott ExxonMobil
Last week, shareholders of ExxonMobil once again
voted not to add sexual orientation to the company's nondiscrimination policy.
ExxonMobil is the only Fortune 50 company without such a policy.
Before merging with Exxon in 1999, Mobil Corp.
offered domestic partner benefits to its gay and lesbian employees. After the
merger, those benefits were lost to new
employees.
49% of the Fortune 500
largest corporations offer domestic partner health benefits (as of March1,
2006), according to the Human Rights Campaign Workplace Project. 78% of the
Fortune 100 largest corporations offer those benefits.
