Pets should not have been left behind; they have a right to life on the basis of the same principles as humansCNN reported that rescue workers were unnecessarily
forcing people to leave their pets behind in New Orleans where they will
probably starve to death. Those people had already lost everything; they
shouldn't have had to lose their pets too.
CNN said that in one example reported last week
by The Associated Press, a police officer took a dog from one little boy waiting
to get on a bus in New Orleans. "Snowball! Snowball!" the boy cried until he
vomited.
It is just totally wrong for people not to respect the rights of animals. It wasn't a choice between saving the little boy or saving the little dog. The boy was carrying the dog; so the dog wouldn't even have taken up a seat on the bus. Posted: Sunday - September 04, 2005 at 08:45 PM |
