Alabama Republican Women want to stop babies from being U.S. citizens


The Birmingham News reported that the Alabama Federation of Republican Women is pushing for a Constitutional amendment to prevent babies born in the United States to illegal immigrants from automatically becoming U.S. citizens.

The Republican Women claim these babies cost too much — they claim the cost is $118 billion per year in government services. On the other hand, the $271 billion spent over the past three years killing Iraqis, including women and children, apparently doesn't bother the Republican Women.

The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution says, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside."
