Gallup Poll says Bush strongly disapproved of

The Gallup News Service reported that 44% of Americans strongly disapprove of the job George Bush is doing, "the highest for any president since Richard Nixon during the Watergate era."

The latest Gallup Poll found that only "40% of Americans believe Bush can manage the government effectively, the worst rating he has received on this measure during his presidency."

Less than half of Republicans strongly approve of Bush and 68% of Democrats strongly disapprove of him. "For the first time, a majority of independents, 53%, now strongly disapprove of Bush."

It is amazing to me that in spite of all the evidence of the Bush administration's deception in leading the country into war in Iraq, 47% still believe Bush is honest and trustworthy. Some people believe what they want to believe, regardless of any evidence to the contrary.
