Portrait of Bush censored by the management of the Chelsea Market

The New York Times reports that an art exhibition at the Chelsea Market came under fire from the management because it included a portrait of President Bush by a 23 year old Pittsburgh artist, Christopher Savido. The "realistic" portrait was fashioned from tiny images of chimpanzees.

The market management was so upset they ordered the entire show taken down a month before it was supposed to end. The Bush portrait is currently on display in a small gallery on East Ninth Street at the offices of Animal magazine. There's a photo of the portrait and of the artist accompanying the Times article.
