Mac OS X (Tiger) 10.4 — Dictionary
There is a new dictionary application in Tiger
based on the New Oxford American
Dictionary and the
Oxford American Writers
Thesaurus.
This is a valuable application backed up by a
very respectable dictionary that has been compared in quality to the
American Heritage
Dictionary. You can control-click on a word,
select Look Up in Dictionary and be shown the most common usage of the word in a
small window. Selecting "more" in that window will take you to the full entry
in the Dictionary application. If you don't know how to pronounce a word,
control-click on it and select Speech–>Start
Speaking.
