Bush-approved stem cell lines may all be contaminated

New Scientist reported in the January 29 issue, "Stem cell researchers around the world are facing the nightmare possibility that their experiments have been messed up by contamination from animal cells [...] It has now been found in a Bush-approved stem cell line".

New Scientist reported on 15 February, "A private human stem cell bank in the US has more than doubled the number of stem cells lines available to researchers [...] The Reproductive Genetics Institute in Chicago now has 105 human stem cells lines from normal embryos, and 20 mutant stem cells lines."
