Warren Buffett donates his fortune to Bill Gates


The Register reported this morning that Warren Buffett, the second richest man in the world after Bill Gates, has pledged to donate the bulk of his fortune to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Buffett is going to donate $30.7 billion in stages to the Gates Foundation, in the form of stock in his company, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. It is the largest charitable donation ever made.
