A developer wants to build a hotel on the family property of Supreme Court Justice David Souter

Freestar Media, LLC, announced its intention to pursue the building of a hotel on the long-held family property in Weare, NH, of Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter. Souter was one of five justices who voted to allow the city of New London to use its power of eminent domain to take land from one private citizen and give it to another because the new owner would generate more tax revenue for the city.

The new hotel would be called "The Lost Liberty Hotel" and would feature the "Just Desserts Café". It would also have a public museum with exhibits on the loss of freedom in America. The CEO of Freestar Media "indicated that the hotel must be built on this particular piece of land because it is a unique site being the home of someone largely responsible for destroying property rights for all Americans."
