Open Source Press Association to be launched 


Raw Story announced that several independent progressive journalists and publications are going to launch an alternative press association, the Open Source Press Association (OSPA). 

According to Raw Story, "The alternative press, including publications, journalists, writers, and organizations, will allow for members to share resources, funding and act as a more inclusive fourth estate." There will be an Ethics in Journalism Board, a Networking and Projects arm, a Fairness in Journalism Council and an arm of Resources and Distribution to allow members to share legal council, knowledge bases, educational resources, and a single RSS feed.
