American College Students Reveal Their Ignorance

In a recent poll, according to the Associated Press, only 35% of college students thought voting in the next presidential election will create a lot of change. Only 19% believe that politics is very relevant to their lives.

Furthermore, they rated the Sept. 11 "terrorist attacks as more important in the nation's history than the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the 1929 stock market crash or the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy." I wonder how many of the students surveyed have actually taken a college course in 20th century American history.
