This paper addresses humorous protests against U.S. President George W. Bush dispersed through email. I will position these creative efforts, which I refer to as "virals," within the history of U.S. dissident or alternative media, asserting that the individuals disseminating them constitute Internet-era publishers or not-necessarily-broad-casters.
