Best political line of the dayThe headline over John
Fund's piece in yesterday's WSJ.com about Bill Richardson dropping out
of the nomination for Commerce Secretary, because he was allegedly involved in
pay-for-play (i.e., political shakedowns [see also Blagojevich]) as Governor of
New Mexico: "Richardson Bows Out; He can always resume his baseball
career."
I laughed and
laughed.
If you don't get the joke, let me refresh your memory: A few years back, it was revealed that Bill Richardson's story of having been drafted to play professional baseball, a story which he had been telling for 40 years, was a lie. Posted: Wed - January 7, 2009 at 04:46 PM |
