Your ears are not good enough to tell the differenceHere
is a little write-up documenting that, in blind listening tests,
audiophiles could not tell the difference between a piece of music coming from
speakers connected to the audio source by expensive Monsterâ„¢ cables and
the same piece of music coming from the same speakers connected to the same
audio source with lengths of coat hanger wire.
Remember that, the next time you are in the
market for cables. Wire is wire. I wouldn't necessarily recommend using
uninsulated coat hanger wire -- for one thing, it only comes in one length --
but plain old lamp cord wire is plenty good for hooking up your
speakers.
Yes, the test performed did not have a big enough sample size, but you can go conduct that test with a larger sample and I will bet you a thousand dinars that you would get the same result. Posted: Thu - March 6, 2008 at 12:37 PM |
