Another shooting in my neighborhood, with a twist

A woman was shot to death across the street from my apartment building this afternoon.

The difference this time is she shot herself.

I did not hear the shot, but I heard the sirens, and went down to see what was happening. It was pretty exciting there for a while, with all the fire trucks and police cars.

Unfortunately, my photos did not turn out very well. Anyway, this is the scene as things were winding down, showing a cop looking into the pickup truck she did it in. By this time she was in the aid car, dead. The two right lanes of Fourth Avenue were blocked off by cop cars up the block, out of the picture to the right.

I guess this is kind of ghoulish. But you'd have looked, too.
