Still things to notice


I have lived in Seattle almost 30 years and not until today have I noticed these "City of Seattle" seals on the lampposts downtown.



It doesn't look like the Seattle city seal we know today. I like it better. It appears to be two fish kissing, upside-down. The current one was adopted in 1937; maybe this one was the one used before that. But I cannot find on the Internet any information about the pre-1937 Seattle seal, to know whether this was the official seal, or just something the boys down at the foundry cooked up.
