accurate college football poll, the Nelson Poll, for Week 12. Unlike all other
polls, the Nelson Poll is based on results on the field and nothing else -- not
a team's reputation, not what happened last year, not how much a team's
adherents whine about how tough its conference is, nothing but play on the
field. (The number in parentheses is the change in position from last
week.)
