Yet again, I must correct you


Okay, I didn't twig this one until a few days ago.

I was listening to Mitch in the Morning on KJR the other morning. He has Beano Cook on by telephone once a week, primarily to talk about college football, but they talk about just about everything.

Beano pointed out that, when a college team takes a weekend off, that is NOT a "bye." It is an "open date." A "bye" is when a team advances in a bracketed tournament without playing.

So, let's all get this right from now on, shall we?
