Ron Reagan’s Rant


I don’t usually post a quick link without much else in this blog, but you ought to read this: Ron Reagan Jr. ranting in Esquire about the Bush administration.

It’s well-written, clear-eyed, and powerful; you can see that Ron inherited his father’s gift for communication. It’s an essay that reminds us what Bush said, what he actually did instead, and what that means. The worst thing about the public debate this days is its short memory: people in power lie because they know that those listening will almost never check on them. Check this out.
