Why does the God of the Old Testament seem so barbaric and capricious compared with the God of the New, especially if He is supposed to be the same today and forever? I have one idea.

I wrote this eight years ago but had never posted it to my site. I posted it now, as-is, even though my writing voice is a little different now. I still feel the same way about the perspective that it describes.
