Some notes on the Bin Laden TapeI don't think the tape will have much of an
effect on the election. I agree with Bergen's article that Bin Laden is saying that
he doesn't care who is elected but the attacks will continue if the U.S. doesn't
change our policies. Of course, to paraphrase Adam Curry, if we had 100,000
troops chasing his ass instead of taking incredible risks in Iraq, maybe he'd
change his tune.
