92 degrees. This broke the previous high
minimum record... or warmest
low temperature
for the date which was 88 degrees set in
2003.
With 90 degrees forecast for a low
Tuesday... another record high
minimum will
likely be broken. The record high minimum for Tuesday
is 84 degrees set in
1990.
... Record high temperature
broken...
The Mercury reached 116
degrees at McCarran International Airport
this
afternoon. This reading broke the previous record for July
18th
of 115 degrees set in
1959.
... Record for number of high
temperatures of 115 degrees or greater
in one
month broken...
Todays high of 116
degrees at McCarran International Airport
was
the fourth time this month that the temperature has been 115
degrees or higher. This breaks the record for
number of days of
115 or higher for a single
month. The previous records were... three
times in June of 1994 and 1940... three times
in July of 1942... and
three time in August of
1979.
With a forecast high of 114 degrees
