Summer 2005 News

First up - Contact information

Some customers have had trouble with the "Send me a message" button that is at the bottom of each page, so if you prefer write to me at naflyer@gmail.com or call me at +46 70 484 0602. Feel free to write or call using English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Spanish (but I am likely to answer back in English or Swedish.) My business is located just outside of Stockholm, Sweden but as it is a distributorship I have no boutique. Please contact me if you need more specific information.

Note: If you are a supplier from anywhere other than North America or a consumer from anywhere other than Europe please do not contact me. I am also not interested in investment opportunities. All such messages will be deleted unanswered.

Next subject - New pricing structure

Updating price sheets to follow the weekly ebb and flow of exchange rates was proving to be a monumental task, so my new pricing structure is as follows: Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) plus EU import duties and Swedish VAT (30%) multiplied by the current exchange rate. Let me show you how it works in practice.

Turner's MSRP for a 2005 5 Spot frame such as the one shown above is $1895. Add 30% of that ($568.50) for EU import duties and VAT and you get $2463.50. Multiply that by the exchange rate (as shown on June 22) at http://www.x-rates.com/d/SEK/USD/graph120.html and you end up with a North American Flyers recommended retail price of SEK18774.33.

By purchasing through your local dealer and North American Flyers instead of through a dealer elsewhere you save the cost of international shipping (plus EU import duties and VAT on the cost of the shipping), you gain local support for any warranty issues that might arise and you become a positive factor in shaping the future of your local bike shop. My goal is to be the least unreasonably priced legal alternative. If that does not turn out to be the case, please let me know.

Look forward to new pricing sheets with interactive links to current exchange rates in the near future. Until then, check out the manufacturer websites and contact me if you have questions.
