 What a lot of thank you's and clapping. Jon Stewart was remarkably good and they finished in record time. We now have rap on the Oscar show and although liberal PC is still rampant, at least they have a grudging awareness of it (and according to ACADAMY AWARD WINNER George Clooney, that's a good thing).
Somewhere along the line I said that this was a tough year to pick Oscar winners. I think I was confused with the quality of the movies up for Best Picture. That was the only category I wasn't sure of but went with Roger Ebert.
If you check the previous post you'll see that I was 6 for 6 on the major categories and also called two of the minor ones. If I'm not mistaken, Roger Ebert and Entertainment Weekly were both 5 for 6.
I should have known better than to pick a Best Song. I should have gone with Wallace and Grommit in the animated category and skipped the song as I always do.
Proving once again that you don't have to see the movies but you do have to watch the show and read a lot of reviews and commentary. |
