| Ann Coulter takes on Ward Churchill | | Date Created: Feb 10, 2005, 11:12 PM |
Hey, I told you this was a national thing. Leave it to Ann Coulter, my favorite conservative provocateur (a term a great musical colleague of Dr. Reptile's came up with that fits her perfectly). Ms. Coulter really is a conservative rather than a closet libertarian that I could really get behind. But she tears up Ward Churchill one side and down the other. I hinted that his native american/Indian credentials weren't up to snuff and, sure enough, Coulter researched it in her usual thorough manner and lays it out (along with a hefty dose of sarcasm). The guy's a fraud all right. I guess there was a good reason to pick him out from the panoply of far-left tenured professors that dominate our universities and give our impressionable youth their "higher" education.
Coulter's latest book, How to Talk to A Liberal (If You Must), is a worthly read even though it's basically a collection of her columns from around 9/11 up to last year before the election. There's a great tale of her experience with Libertarians in her home state of Connecticut, a discussion of dating for high profile women, and lots of well documented (and sarcastic) liberal bashing. To Coulter it's like shooting fish in a barrel. She's a lawyer, a conservative, a writer, and a very attractive woman. What a great combination. It's hard for the left to dis her except that, oh yeah, she's a conservative. It's like Barbara Boxer trying to tear up Condoleezza Rice.
But we're talking about the Al Sharpton of the University of Colorado, Ward Churchill. So read her colum, The Little Injun that Could and go figure.
