I am a licensed Clinical and Behavioral Psychologist, in
private practice in Kaneohe, and an Adjunct Professor at
Hawaii Pacific University. I also teach online for Northcentral University, Ryokan College, and Southern New Hampshire University.
I work with children, teens, and adults--providing individual, family, couple/marriage, play, and art therapy, as well as
diagnostic evaluations.
My primary interests are in treating emotional problems (such as, depression and anxiety), behavioral problems, and relationship issues. I also facilitate personal growth and adjustment to life changes (such as marriage, divorce, remarriage, and blended families). Please use the links (on the left) to learn more about my approach.
My services are tailored to your needs. I employ an individualized, collaborative, problem- solving approach. This involves resolving issues from the past; changing present thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; and, working toward future goals.
I have a dual-Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Psychology from the University of Hawaii, at Manoa and a Master's Degree in Social Psychology from the University of Bombay, India.
I have been in private practice as a Psychologist since 1998 and have additional experience as a Therapist or Psychologist in various settings since 1987.
I have taught, conducted research, and published in the field of Clinical Psychology.
My Master's thesis investigated the relationship between Self-Concept and Social Behavior.
My Doctoral dissertation was a pioneering study of the relationship between Personality Subtypes and Depression.
Born in Kent, England, I grew up in Mumbai (Bombay), India. I have lived in Hawaii since 1985. I live and work in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
