“Photographic seeing (means) an aptitude for discovering beauty
in what everybody sees but neglects as too ordinary.”
Susan Sontag

Who am I?
A self-taught photographer whose hobby ran berserk. My work has been marketed at summer art fairs in the midwestern U.S. with occasional use of galleries and museums. I am presently retired.

How do I do it?
The majority of my images are produced by traditional photographic techniques. I use film formats from 35mm to 4 x 5. Prints are hand-printed in my personal darkroom using either positive (from transparencies) or negative techniques. I then use archival materials for finishing and presentation.  I generally don't limit editions but, because the prints are done by hand, all editions are small (sometimes only one). I've recently added some digital images to the galleries and If I find an ink/paper combination that I have reasonable confidence in, digital ink prints of most images will become available. Please contact me for information on print availability, sizes and prices.
