Ernie's Lenten Prayer Requests
We got a late start on Lent since we were in
India, but Sandhya and both fasting (as we started doing during our time at
what's now Kingsway Community
Church).
On the plane flight back, I felt that God wanted us to use Lent ask for specific blessings from Him, along the lines of the sevenfold spirit of God. In particular, to seek God for positive attributes we want to replace negative aspects of our lives. To that end, here [Read More] are the seven things I believe God wants to work in me this Lent.

1.
Peace
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: KJV Romans 5:1
2. Courage
Let us not abate our courage in doing what is right; for in due time we shall reap a reward, if we do not faint. WEY Galatians 6:9
3. Heart
And I will give them one heart and one way, so that they may go on in the worship of me for ever, for their good and the good of their children after them: BBE Jeremiah 32:39
4. Surrender
and no longer lend your faculties as unrighteous weapons for Sin to use. On the contrary surrender your very selves to God as living men who have risen from the dead, and surrender your several faculties to God, to be used as weapons to maintain the right. WEY Romans 6:13
5. Health
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. KJV Jeremiah 30:17
6. Kindness
Whatever be the gifts which each has received, you must use them for one another's benefit, as good stewards of God's many-sided kindness. WEY 1 Peter 4:10
7. Purification
Now that, through your obedience to the truth, you have purified your souls for cherishing sincere brotherly love, you must love another heartily and fervently. WEY 1 Peter 1:22
