someToast

With the first mosaic project, which I was proud to have worked on, my tile was done in a more painterly style. With this second project, I wanted to go in a more illustrative direction -- which was about all I had in mind for "concept" before beginning. As before, I started by trying to match and extend the edges given as closely as possible, coming up with the body of the image as work progressed. This time around it turned out to be the iPod, giving me the chance to not only depict my music fetish, but also the device that supplies my daily fix.
