The title of my Mosaic Tile is "Love" - and it's a dedication to my sister Kate who recently passed away.

Kate's favorite color was yellow, and she loved animals and nature, so I decided to use these elements throughout my tile.

I started by blending the edges of the existing borders and adding tree branches, carefully removing some of the branches and leaves so it wasn't too overpowering. I then used some filters to add in the sky background. The next step was adding a photo of Kate wearing a yellow dress. I clipped out the background, sized it and placed it into the corner to anchor the tile.

The next step was to add yellow roses, Kate's favorite flower. I took a photo of a red rose, altered the color to make it yellow and formed a trail of roses from the bottom to the top of the tile to symbolize Kate's journey to heaven. I then repeated the color process with a butterfly.

Adding the dolphins, Kate's favorite animal, was next. I created a blue faded area across the bottom of the tile, used some filters to create the water ripples and added some reflection to create the water. I then clipped out a few dolphins from a photo and added them.

All that was left was to add Kate's name and the title, Love. I used some layer effects to subdue the white letters, and I was done.

There you have it folks, anatomy of my Mosaic tile.
