Election Eve Anxiety

I can barely remember 2004 right now, much less the 2000 elections, when I was full of hope that Bush would get trounced and sanity and kind-hearted good sense would prevail.

I found out that Dave's friend with whom we have been hanging out is a republican, and voted for Allen by early voting - I will send prayers for him.

At this point, I want us to get into tomorrow and see what happens. I am anxious - I feel hopeful that we will pull it off - the same hopefulness that I had in 92 when voting for Clinton - the same sense that there is light after all this darkness. I wonder if the far-right-freakos feel that way - that this election could bring on the darkness.... the same way I felt utterly let down by America in 04.

I got my orthotics for my darn plantar fasciitis today - they were VERY expensive - don'tcha love health care? Foam inserts for shoes (yes they are custom made for my feet, but still!) $624. I pay $125 for them. *sigh*

So tomorrow it is up early and to the gym, vote, and then read like a fiend to get to the point of WRITING THIS DAMN COMP.
