Sure they might win it, but what will they do with it.

"The democrats have a knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!" - source unknown.

So what will happen?

Nancy Pelosi as speaker, but with a HUGE tent of dems to manage - a wide range of views. It will be safest for her to stick to issues around security, economy, jobs, health care. Gay marriage will be a big no-no. Alas. Maybe ENDA is safe enough now. Dunno.

And the Senate? Who takes over? Harry Reid? Chuck "I'm in the pocket of rich corporations and want to be a major power broker" Schumer? Someone else? Ted Kennedy? Not likely.

So what will be the agenda? And if the dems win the seats in questions - Delay's old seat and Foley's old seat, which still have their names on the ballot, Tom Reynolds - Nebraska, Idaho, etc.... all seats in heavily RED areas of the country - what will be able to keep those seats for us in 08? Will the dems produce the needed agenda?

I think its possible, and I like Pelosi's initial first 100 hours agenda ...

If they do that, and Bush vetoes it, its all over. The dems will rock in 08. If they fail to move on the things that matter to America, and just accumulate power, for power's sake, its all over.

Oh, and Impeach the moron already.
